This painting looks sad. Brett Whiteley uses lines to show the emotion. It’s a self portrait of him ripped in three sections.
Karen
This painting feels peaceful. He uses a lot of warm colors to help describe the mood. There is a lot of filled space that makes the painting look smooth. To add to the peacefulness, there is a woman lying down with her arms behind her head, and she looks relaxed.
The Olgas
This painting, “the Olgas” is one of my favorites. This painting shows a lot of activity, which I can relate to. There is a lot of different shapes and lot of bright colors that stands out. It also has value, which shows were the sun is coming from. He drew some things that look like deformed hills and things shooting out of them.
